All-Slovenian Gathering for Peace | Cerje, 26 September 2026

Peace cannot be taken for granted. It is a value we preserve by understanding the past, taking responsibility for the future and recognising that peace begins with each and every one of us.

On Saturday, 26 September 2026, at 11 am, the traditional All-Slovenian Gathering for Peace will once again take place at the Monument of Peace in Cerje, marking the International Day of Peace.

The keynote speaker will be Valentin Hajdinjak, MSc, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, followed by a tribute by standard-bearers of KoDVOS, the Association of Slovenian Veterans' Organisations.

This year's ceremony will once again feature a rich cultural programme, with performances by the Brass Quintet of the Police Orchestra, soloist Tjaša Fajdiga, pianist Blaž Pahor, the Kras Opatje Selo Youth Choir, students of Nova Gorica Grammar School and MN Dance Company.
