Castle of Gorizia

The castle was built in the 11th century. During the rise of the Counts of Gorizia, who ruled the Tyrolean region and other areas, it was expanded and rebuilt several times.

Today, the castle is the seat of the Museum of the Middle Ages in Gorizia that displays the collection of reproductions of the sidearms used in the Middle Ages. (1271–1500). The castle also has a Music Room featuring medieval music and a large didactic hall.
