Sabotin and its surroundings are characterised by their beauty, position, natural sights and cultural heritage, thus being a point of interest and attraction. As the southernest section of the Julian Alps, it is an interesting natural sight.

Sabotin is also exceptional from the aspect of cultural heritage. In pagan times, a sanctuary stood at its place. Now, we can walk and explore numerous military channels and caverns that were carved in the rock by Italian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers, the representatives of 22 nations fighting on the Isonzo Front. The First World War strongly impacted the area of Sabotin, which is together with other areas in the Tolmin, Kobarid and Gorizia territory a proof of the events on the Isonzo Front.
