Lodge Stenjkova koča na Trstelju can be found at 610 metres above sea level. It stands below the peak of Trstelj, the highest hill of the west part of Karst. When you arrive to the top, you can enjoy in the magnificent view of the Adriatic Sea, the Dolomites, on a sunny day you can see all the way to Nanos and Triglav. But the lodge does not only offer beautiful views, if you get there walking, you deserve something great to eat. Those who fancy stews, will enjoy goulash, those with a more sweeter taste, can take a bite of excellent strudel. The lodge also sleeps 15 people. It is a popular stop for hikers and tourers who like spending a day in the embrace of nature and forests.
